I woke up in a different city today. I live in the greater Minneapolis area. May is the month when we turn green. We see blooms. We exit winter thoughts. Yet a new residue is here. There is an unrest and if you live here you feel it. If you don’t you’re aware. The city just experienced the third night of protests of the death of George Floyd.
I’m praying. I’m processing with family and friends. I’m trying to keep my eyes on a hopeful resolution that is unseen and unheard.
My mind races for God’s words of comfort.
I am reminded of HIs Character.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
Hebrews 13:8
While Minneapolis is lit in national and world attention. It is also darkened as hearts are in pain. Looting in protest anger takes the place of holding hands and singing. Crowds gather in a pandemic. Masks disguise. Will we recognize again?
These are just a few of the thoughts in prayer I lay out. Each person, each generation has its way of interpreting… and leaving its mark on the next. I pray for each one.
One person can make a difference.
While we have a few moments to think about this? Our world is changing. We have individual choice. I pray for you and me in this.
What good stance will you take today in moving forward?
Hi Pam,
What a timely post in the midst of all of this uproar! Thank you for offering your peaceful meditations. I liked your contrast to dark vs light and your challenge given to all of the generations to move forward and make a difference. Your title was right on.
May God bless you.
Susan
